Started at the 303 Bike and Hike Trailhead and ran North 21 minutes, turned around and pushed the pace for negative splits

- Reflected on a saying from my old basketball coach: “You’re never as good as you think you are, and you’re never as bad as you think you are.”
- Life is often a rollercoaster with ups and downs. Many times when things are going poorly, we can become negative and believe we are failures. Sometimes these mistakes aren’t entirely within our control or it was meant to be, so we need learn from the experience, own it, and move on. Just because you missed a goal once, doesn’t mean you are a failure and not capable of making an impact.
- On the flip side, we shouldn’t get prideful or full of ourselves when we are successful, and things are going our way. Our success is a combination of factors and we need to keep our ego in check
- Although it is challenging, try to stay “even keeled” throughout the ups and downs in life and know that it is part of larger plan for your life
