Swings

Tue., May. 21, 2024 / 05:30 am - 06:15 am / Copley High School

Comeback Kid

Warm-up:

some of @Flanders various walking stretches, Abe’s, tappy-taps, imperial walkers, arm swings, bear squats, etc…

Workout:

We started with 25 burpees due to a tardy pax member.
Then:

  • 5 one-minute sets of 15 swings – if the 15 swings were done before the minute was up that resulted in a rest period.
  • 2 five-minute sets of 75 swings – if the 75 swings were done before the 5-minute time was up that resulted in a rest period.
  • 1 ten-minute set of 150 swings – if the 150 swings were done before the 10-minute time was up that resulted in a rest period.

COT:

Don’t punish someone for doing what you want them to do! What means this? If there is something that you want someone (spouse, partner, child, etc…) to do or a habit you want them to change, often you have an idea in your headof  what this would look like. Maybe it looks like this person is doing what you want them to do to perfection or 100 percent. What happens if this person only achieves 5% of that goal? Generally, we get frustrated because they did not meet our expectations and thus we “punish” them for not doing what we want. Instead, let’s praise them for the small achievement they’ve made and hope that it increases over time.
