Workout:
I pulled an old favorite out of @S’mores ‘ bag of tricks on this hot and muggy morning. We started at the goal line in the Plank position facing the West and pulled a 53 lb kettlebell from the left side of our body to the right side of our body and then continued doing this to the 10, the 20, the 30… all the way down to the goal line. At each 10 yard mark we did a different kb exercise. Once at the opposing goal line, we made our way back, with no exercises. This was just a sweaty and relentless grind all the way home!

I was talking with my wife the other day about an event that, while it was sad and it definitely stirred sympathy on me, I just didn’t have the same level of reaction that she did. I found myself becoming annoyed at the intensity that she was exhibiting about it. A little while later the thought came into my head that I needed to learn the reason why it was so important to her and ask questions and dig into it a bit. This fosters closeness. I encourage all of us to try this as we communicate with those close to us.
