My life verses are Matthew 6:27 (read verses 25-31) and Luke 12:25 (read verses 24-31) “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.6.27.NIVThrough life and through God (since 2010), I have been a student of Manhood and Virtue. Because virtue and good character will always outweigh health, wealth, and reputation.
I cannot, by worrying, add a single hour to my life. I do not want to dwell on the past or bind my happiness to some future event. You are never in the moment that way.
Whatever happened or will happen it out of your control. You can only put yourself where you see fit. So when the good/bad things do happen, it is how you handle it that can bring you happiness or pain. We cannot change these things that happen to us in the world around us. We can only change how we look at those things and what we make out of them.
There is a moment (a gap) that when something good/bad happens to you where you can spend some time in before you react. The more stoic and virtuous you become, the shorter time you need to spend in that gap.We are the only ones stopping us from virtuous behavior.
We are the only ones stopping us from living the good life.So men, stop worrying.Enjoy the ride or Get dragged along.Books I mentioned:
“The Little Book Of Stoicism” by Jonas Salzgerber
“12 Rules For Life” by Jordan Peterson
