Ultimate Frisbee on the practice field.

Thought today inspired by my recent vacation where we often look for shark’s teeth on the beach.  I would often find myself chasing and obsessing over the teeth just out of reach being washed back and forth by the waves at the expense of what I had already collected in my hand.  It got me thinking about how in life, we often become preoccupied of the things we think we “missed” in life – the unanswered prayers so to speak – often overshadowing the great things we do have. One of the greatest dangers is chasing what we want so aggressively that we neglect what God has already entrusted to us—our faith, our marriage, our family, our friendships, our health, and the people around us.Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 19:21:“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
