Warm-up:

neck rolls, turn and bounce, arm circles, tappy-taps, flamingos.

Workout:

Pax started at end zone and did rifle carry for 10 yards then performed a workout. At 10 yards intervals, pax performed an exercise and # of reps matching the yardage, running back to the starting end zone performing 10 merkins and returning to the coupon to advance to the next ten yards. After 100 yards, we performed a rifle carry back to the beginning.

10 yrd- 10 manmakers
20 yrd – 20 merkins
30 yrd – 30 OH Press
40 yrd – 40 curls
50 yrd – 50 weighted squats
Continue same exercises at opposite 40, 30, 20, 10.
At opposite end zone perform 100 big boys.
Burning river team modified as necessary.

COT:

Just a reflection. I coach a lot of youth sports and last year we lost a couple players from our softball program to club teams. It was tough to see some of the girls leave the program for tougher competition. However, we had our tryouts for the team last night. We had almost all the girls that left come back, plus others from other communities wanting to join. It was great to have a large number of players wanting to play vs a couple years ago we did not have enough. Also this is a reminder that the grass is not always green on the other side.
