Rowboat Bunny Hill Workout

Warm-up:

Good Mornings, Tricep stretch, Michael Phelps, Tantrums, Turn n Bounce, Weed Whackers

Workout:

  • Moseyed to the shed and grabbed a total of 2 coupons and 6 bricks
  • Moseyed with the implements over to the top of the hill next to the playground
  • PAX #1 farmers carried the coupon down the hill and back up the hill while PAX #2-4 ran down to the base of the hill and back up carrying 2 bricks
  • While waiting for PAX #1 to reach the top, PAX #2-4 performed an exercise and then PAX #2 took the coupons, started down the hill and PAX #1, 3, 4 ran with bricks. A round was finished once every PAX had done the farmers carry and then we switched exercises
  • Exercises for each round were (all with the bricks): Merkins, Squats, Curls, and Overhead Tricep Extensions
  • After 4 rounds, we did 10 reps of overhead presses, 10 reps of curl to overhead press, and then 10 thrusters
  • Moseyed back to shed and finished with 12 Heals to Heaven…CLEAR

COT:

  • Reflected on the life of astronaut Jim Lovell (commander of Apollo 13) who recently passed away
  • A huge goal for Jim was to land on the moon. However, once the explosion occurred, Jim quickly realized that his mission and goals needed to change. He didn’t wallow in the fact that he wasn’t going to the moon. Rather, he stepped up as a leader and focused on what was important NOW…the life of his crew. He didn’t panic but instead focused on solving problems and taking steps to get them back safely.
  • Jim and the crew accomplished something that we can all remember…probably even more so than if they had landed on the moon
