Workout:

escalator style workout- PAX moved coupons to each 10 yards and completed the exercise designated for that number. PAX jogged back to the end zone after each set and completed alternating x50 of mtn climbers and plank jacks between sets.

10- burpees
————x50 mtn climbers at the end zone
20- merkins
————x50 plank jacks at the end zone
30- triceps choice
————x50 mtn climbers, and repeato the pattern
40- curls for dem girls
50- bent rows
40-repeato
30-repeato
20-repeato
10-repeato

-PAX chose their method of movement to get the coupon to their next 10yd increment between sets.

6MOM:

1 minute each side for neutral spine crunch; x30 sec each side plank (repeated twice), x30 sec each side for bird-dog

COT:

MY back is bugging me again. My new job is kicking my ass. Getting older sucks! I’ve been feeling down about my physical limitations recently, and it’s caused me to become a bit of a short-tempered tool-bag at home. My kids and M are timid when they walk in the room, and they choose their words carefully in case they do or say something to set me off. I have a terrible temper and it doesn’t come out often, but when it does, it’s awful. It’s unfair to my family. I need to check myself. I need to complete my PT and get better. In the meantime, while I embrace the road to recovery, I need to stop being such a short-tempered dick at home. PT works, this group works to encourage me. I chose to lead this morning, because I knew I would force myself and the group to do my PT exercises for the MoM (core work). Thank you men for the encouragement and thanks for having my back! PUN!
Instead of completing more house/yard work today, I’m taking time for my PT with back and quality time with my family. Each kid chose a topping for their ice cream tonight and we are having ice cream sundaes and movie night instead of cleaning our bedrooms. They are pretty pumped.
