Encourage hope!”Salvation, from beginning to end, is a work of our Father. God does not stand on a mountain and tell us to climb it and find him. He comes down into our dark valley and finds us. He does not offer to pay all the debt minus a dollar if we’ll pay the dollar. He pays every penny. He doesn’t offer to complete the work if we will start it. He does all the work, from beginning to end. He does not bargain with us, telling us to clean up our lives so he can help. He washes our sins without our help.”-Max Lucado, from Unshakeable Hope: Building Our Lives on the Promises of God

Continuing with my theme of Hope! God meets us where we are at. As a loving Father, He does not simply expect us to be perfect and present with Him, always. God does not expect us to have our lives together. He meets us where we are at. He comes to us, supports us, encourages us to pray and worship so that we can have the strength to do what needs doing. Our Father is present and loving and supportive, no matter where we are at in our life journey. Thinking these thoughts, I have been trying to emulate this idea in my own life with my children and my wife. Am I being present and supportive enough to my spouse? Am I encouraging my children and letting them know I’m standing in their corner? I’m certainly trying. Meeting others where they are, and offering encouragement and support if they are struggling often yields amazing results. I love the support this group provides to its brothers. I love that F3 meets people where they are and encourages them to grow and get stronger. We lift each other up and make each other better. Pick up the six! Great job today, my dudes. A heck of a lot more burpees than anticipated but we rocked it.
