Focker

Warm-up:

some dynamics and statics to get limber

Workout:

Adapted from the iron pax workout from May Challenge last weekA wheel of pain – merkins in the middle and 4 different callisthenic exercises for the spokes…. We ran out and did the abs for 10 count, ran back to the middle for 10 merkins, ran out and did 10 squats, ran back and did 10 merkins….10 burpees, 10 merkins, 10 curls for girls and 10 more merkins. We did this on repeat for 25 min AMRAP. PAX could adapt count to fit their individual needs but minimal reps per station was 10.That was the drill! Great work today men! I feel so strong and powerful!

COT:

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17The phrase “iron sharpens iron” emphasizes the fact that people affect one another; words and actions define relationships for better or worse, and they impact the individuals involved.
The credo of F3 is Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him. Be the wet stone to sharpen the blade of the man next to you.
This group is so supportive in all facets of our lives. You men continue to be there for me to strengthen me physically, spiritually and emotionally. I think it’s challenging for all men to develop lasting friendships. I mean loyal friendships, with transparency and vulnerability, like those relationships F3 helps us to cultivate both on and off the gridiron.
Specifically, I want to give a shout out to @Snugglebug.It’s his 21st birthday today, and it’s very exciting to be able to hang out with him in a new way! I’m pumped for his ceremonial first drink despite already having been sharing beers with him for a couple years – but this time he will be of legal age! So we can do it at a bar! I grew up most of my life with him as a more of a father-son kind of relationship. A lot of the things that were going on in my life as an adult, I could not completely share with my adolescent brother. The problems of youth that I think every young adult and teenager deals with, were not brought up too often by him either. Despite the age gap, and the certain restrictions on conversation that come with it, I like to think we have always been open with one another. That being said, I greatly enjoy our more brotherly man-to-man talks as of late. @Snugglebug , thank you for your inspiration in faith and fitness. I don’t think you give yourself enough credit sometimes to think that YOU offer ME good advice, as much as I like to think I am there for you. I appreciate our talks and it’s partly because of you, and the conversations we’ve had about our faith, that I’m going back to church regularly. Love you brother. Happy Happy Birthday little bro!
Love you all! Keep on keepin’ on!
