Lean into discomfort as a gift from God.I am learning discomfort is much like the common parable that tells the story of the preacher who lost his life in a flood and questioned God why his life wasn’t spared. God’s reply was I sent you a raft, a life jacket, a helicopter, etc. and you failed to see them…Anger, hatred, sadness, etc are feelings that isolate our own ego vs others… a me vs you/environment/situation/etc. Love, gratitude, grace, etc are feelings of oneness… oneness with our fellow humans, with nature, with God, with the one truth.I am becoming a strong believer in those feelings of isolation (which all live in an unnatural state of discomfort) are God’s messages to us for our own ego’s healing… telling us something about ourselves… not others… giving us a window into insecurities, trauma, fear, etc. that is creating a wall/shell around the beauty of God and the oneness. It has been extremely helpful in growing a sense of deep understanding of my own ego and of those around me… all of which are battling the shells and walls they each have put up to protect their own egos.A very long way of encouraging looking inward instead to discover the peace that exists vs projecting outward towards the suffering we create. And be grateful for it all.Speaking of gratitude, thank you for giving me the opportunity to lead. Merry Christmas to all you amazing friends.
