Trail run

Pax enjoyed anywhere from 1-8 loops on Hawkins Hill section.  In my Apples to Apples comparison of Covered Bridge loop.  I discovered that Hawkins Hill is much harder and more technical.  Even the hill climb uses a different muscle group than the stair climb at Covered Bridge.  The result is now I will forever look at the covered bridge loop as “easy”.  When before this was a difficult trail and climb.

My daughter had a Band competition yesterday at Toledo where there were some bands that had traveled from out of state.  Copley has always done very well at competitions, usually winning or placing.  She texted my in morning that they performed first and did very well.  By the afternoon she realized that they were the worst band there and that these bands were out of their league.  When we picked her up in evening, she was mad and wondering why the instructor had even signed them up for it.  I explained that he knew exactly what he was doing.  He wanted to take them out of their comfort zone and experience failure on some level.  This is where the gold is, this where true growth lies.
