Thoughts from Pastor Josiah message this weekend sacrificing for God.

He referenced the story about Abraham being asked by God to go sacrifice his only son, Issaac in Genesis 22 6-12. (Which was just just a test of Abraham loyalty). Abraham obeyed command and was ready to sacrifice Isaac on the alter, until God stepped into stop it.

He made a few convicting points that I wanted to share:*Every follower of Jesus is going to have moments when God is going to ask you to sacrifice that one thing you love most”*If you won’t take the number one desire in your heart and put it on the alter, your “love” for god is illegitimate ** if you don’t sacrifice that thing, you will always put that thing first.Until that thing is up on the alter, I will miss out on God’s calling for my life
