This past friday they discovered my wife’s uncle’s body in his home. He had died from a self inflicted gunshot wound. It seems unimaginable to get to that point in your life where that is the only solution. But as men we sometimes carry the weight of the world on our shoulders or so it seems. A mantra that I use is “nothing matters as much as you think it does at the time you are thinking about it”. This can sometimes lessen the weight. I also encourage you to reach out to a fellow pax or other friend, even if it’s just to gripe. We can shoulder the weight together.
