Rabbits completed core exercises while we waited for all PAX to come back to the goal line. The ‘six’ chose a core exercise from the list to complete 20 reps or 20sec worth of the exercise before calling “six is in” and then we switched to the next weight of KB. KB weighed between 15-40 lbs each so it was different every time PAX switched for a new round.
Some Mary was built in but we also completed a Circle of Pain for a 10count at the end.
COT:
Continuing with my Superman theme: I’ve always found Superman to be a very ‘Christ-like’ figure. He stands for righteousness and good. He represents the very best of humanity. Isn’t that like what Christ wants for us? To bring out the very best of our humanity? Superman is calm and morally steadfast. He stands up to evil, but not at the expense of his own morality. Superman can get angry at times, yes. However, that anger is justified, righteous anger; just as Jesus was righteously angered about the merchants desecrating the holy temple. Superman oftentimes is depicted in the comics as following a doctrine of all life being sacred. He stands by this belief numerous times throughout literature, movies and TV shows. He refuses to kill even the bad guys. Rather than end someone’s life, he tries to help rehabilitate them; he tries to help them to change for the better. People are inherently good and capable of great things! They just need someone to believe in them. Superman stands for hope in a world with a ‘better tomorrow.’ and to him, it’s worth the sacrifice on his part to protect that goodness. That’s pretty Super! Have a great rest of the week gents; practice calm and understanding, treat others with the dignity you wish yourself to be treated with…and if you have to be angry, do it righteously and flip some tables!
