Warm-up:

Neck Circles, Yesses, Nos, Arm Circles, Michael Phelps, Tappy Taps, Flamingos, and Catchers Pose things.

Workout:

Pax began on the goal line. Proceeded 10 yards at a time for a movement, all the way to the 50 and back (# of reps matched the yard line). Going out, bear crawl in between movements. Coming back, crawl bear. Rinse & repeat for about 20 minutes. (There wasn’t much repeating)
10 yd line: 10 burpees
20: 20 merkins
30: 30 big boys
40: 40 squats
50: 50 SSH

COT:

I’m reading a book called Black Flag by David Ricciardi. It’s fiction, but this sentence struck me (Ricciardi was referring to groups of people in Somalia having no regard for human life): “Hell is nothing to fear when you are already there.”What a scary thought, but one that I fear might be true, and possibly spreading. The more we validate or ignore this kind of despair, the more we risk people snapping and doing things they’d never imagine, because they’ve stopped believing that consequences—whether earthly or eternal—matter. We have to be the ones who push back against that darkness, not with cheap optimism, but with presence, truth, and a refusal to let anyone believe the pit they’re in is the end of the story.
