Warm-up:
Neck Rolls/Yesses/No’s/Maybe-So’s, Arm Circles, Michael Phelps, Turn and Bounce, Tappy Taps, Flamingos, Catcher Pose Things, Back Stretches
Workout:
1) Motivator from 102) Wilt Chamberlain: Pax lined up at the goal line, did 100 LBCs, then ran just past the 33-yd line (100 feet) and did 100 air squats. 100′ run to the goal line to do 100 flutter kicks (2-count), run 100′ and do 100 lunges (1-count), run back to the goal line to finish.3) Thunderstruck: Pax completed one Merkin for every “Thunder” or “Thunderstruck” heard in the song, and held a high plank during the rest of the song. At least that was the goal. @IcyHot came closest.
COT:
I forgot to pass on my words of “wisdom” today, but here they are: Running the marathon became incredibly tough for me around mile 21 or 22, where I began to question whether I could finish and whether finishing with a time much slower than my goal was even worth it. It’s in these moments where we learn a lot about ourselves. As much as my mind was telling me to quit, I found out that there was no way in the world I would let myself do it despite the pain and fatigue. So my challenge to us: when was the last time you put yourself in a position where you were unsure whether you could achieve the intended result? If it’s been a while, why aren’t you challenging yourself more? We are all capable of so much more than we set out to achieve.
