Comeback Kid

We started in the parking lot and, with a bit of sadness, surveyed the newly installed construction fence which will soon be a barrier to the field. Then we headed to the hill and did partner hill sprints and alternating planks. Next, we moseyed to the west sideline where we kept our partners and did a Dora that was comprised of: 100 surrenders, 200 lunges and 300 squats. While the one partner did the exercise the other backpeddled to the other sideline, did one burpee and then sprinted back. The final bit of fun was 100 big bois in cadence.

The severity of our reactions to events around us are based on the level of value that we feel about ourselves at that moment and where we derive that value. Often the things that we find our value in are impermanent or unreliable, i.e., as a father, as a partner/spouse, as an employee, etc… I started a relationship with Christ in May of 2017 and since then I have been on the journey of finding my identity/value as his son. This is a permanent and unwavering source of value. It’s a journey I know that I will be on for the rest of my life!
