COT:

Acts 16:25 – 34. Paul & Silas are in prison and are worshipping through the night when all of a sudden there was an earthquake and all their chains were broken and prison cells were opened. When the jailer realized this, he went to kill himself with his sword knowing he would be punished, but Paul called out to him and said that they were still there and to not harm himself. He and his whole family ended up getting saved that day as a result. This message stuck with me because Paul had to be so in tune with God to realize that this miracle was not meant for his escape, but to bring salvation to a whole family. I know that if I was in jail and all of a sudden the doors broke open, I’d be rushing out of there thinking that was a miracle meant for me, but Paul had such relationship with the Father that he knew the greater purpose of this event.
