COT:

Remember the privilege that comes with the inconvenience. Often it’s easy to get annoyed by little things in the house. My wife’s dirty dishes she leaves in the sink; Lego and other toys left in the middle of the living room where I can step on them, the dogs barking at people on the sidewalk for the 10th time that day. It’s better to approach life’s situations by acknowledging the joy that comes with the frustration. Instead of being upset that the dishes were left over. Just being grateful that I have a wife and that she made dinner. Rather than being upset by the minefield of toys in the house, be excited that I have kids! Something I knew I was meant to have and love and cherish and appreciate them for what they are. Imperfect little people who need to learn their good habits from their parents. Rather than being upset with the dogs, appreciate the fact that they love me unconditionally and add a great layer of security to my home and for my family when I’m away at work.
