Roll With It

We did some upper body stretchy things with an abundance of low volume mumble chatter. Love seeing the pax multitasking.

pax grabbed coupons and circled up in the west end zone. Each pax rolled 2 dice and used any combination of the dice numbers rolled for the number of reps of their chosen exercise. After the first round the pax had to choose a core exercise.

Mr. Lucky: My father was born in 1933 and lived in government subsidized housing on Cedar Road until 9th grade when his father became a mechanic for the Berea Bus Line (now RTA). He moved to West Park in 1948 and went to John Marshal High School where he met my mother, the daughter of a Lieutenant in the CFD and a middle class family. They were best friends in high school.  My father comes from an abusive home so immediately after graduation he join the Navy and went on to serve as a Quartermaster in the Submarine service. He and my mother became engaged and married in 1957. Fast forward 20 years my father had started his own business and became successful. In the 1980 he began responding to the greeting “how are you” with “Lucky”.  You see my father coming from nothing, married his best friend, started his own  successful business, had 4 sons in a period of 46 months felt life had given him far more than he ever deserved. Dad did this so often that he began to be referred to as Mr Lucky by those close to him. He always had an attitude of gratitude. To be happy was to be grateful and to be grateful was to be happy. He was the best father I could ask for and he set a great example for others (I refer to this as the blue print). He never forgot where he came from and talked often about those that helped change his life of a poor child from an abusive home in public housing. He felt life gave him far more than he deserved. He truly was Me Lucky. Let us all live a life of gratitude and set a positive example for our children and loved ones.
