The first step in AA is is honesty. Being honest about our powerlessness about our addiction. We feel like we have our sin under control and it’s not that bad but if we’re brutally honest with ourselves, it controls us unless we submit to it and surrender to our higher power. Encourage all of us to reflect on what sin we are powerless against and be honest and surrender to God for guidance in this area.
