Workout:

7 Pax took part in either the penultimate or final sled day for the year. Pushed the sled various distances from as short as 5 yards to minimize momentum to as long as 33 yards to maximize the leg drive. Fun was had by all! It just depends on your definition of fun

COT:

Words today were from Matthew 14. The most well known part of Matthew 14 is the miracle where Jesus feeds the 5000, but just before that miracle takes place, Jesus is mourning because he just received the news the John the Baptist was killed. He leaves his disciples because he wants to be alone, but many people followed him. The bible says he was moved by compassion for them, and healed their sick, and then the feeding of the 5000 takes place. This passage stands out to me because when Jesus was at a low point where he was mourning and wanting to be alone, he still knew his greater purpose and executed it. I think that our instinct sometimes is that we can mentally check out when we’re going through a difficult time and feel like people “don’t know what I’m going through”, but our example in Jesus shows us that it’s not an excuse to not fulfill your greater purpose. It doesn’t mean it’s easy, but it can be done.
