COT:

Caught the end of the Guardians game last night, and saw Parker Messick go 8 hitless innings. Going into the top of the 9th with the opportunity to make history, he gives up a dribbler single to break the perfect game. Despite @Ocean Spray calling this a manger error, you could just see and feel all the energy get sucked out of the stadium. To be that close to perfection and have it end so abruptly.

Made me think about my life the when things don’t go as planned. It’s hard to bounce back and adjust, but that is what we all need to do. Next time Parker gets the ball, he has to go out there and do his job, not be caught up in the “almost had it”.

We have the opportunity to take this approach in our lives as well. Keep persevering, adjust to change, and keep going to work as employees, fathers, husbands, leaders.
