We don’t know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that’s something I’m trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don’t forget you’re alive. We’re not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.” ―Joe Strummer, the Clash

Something I’ve been working on, trying to not plan out every minute of the day, to take things as they come at me. We tend to live our lives in a routine and forget to look around us. I’ve been caught up in the sky these past few months. Really studying sun rises and sunsets. Noticing the colors, the clouds. Sitting on my back patio and staring at the stars on clear nights. Things I took for granted before but now seeing the beauty. Spending time w/ kids and emercing myself in their likes and hobbies. Keeping my eyes open to things that surround me and looking to try new things, doing things that help or benefits others. We are given only so much time walking this Earth. Try and get as much out of it as you can and leave a positive impact. As you get older, the questions come down to about two or three. How long? And what do I do with the time I’ve got left?” ―David Bowie
