Workout:
The following exercises were performed with the use of a light exercise band. Each exercise was performed to 7 repetitions and each rep was a 5 second contraction:
Round 1-
Deadlift with coupon & band
Push-ups
Curls
Lateral raises
Squat and press
Performed double coupon farmer’s carry around parking lot
Round 2-
Tricep extensions
Upright row with coupon & band
Bent over row
Pull aparts
Reverse woods chops
Performed double coupon farmer’s carry half way around parking lot
Round 3-
Deadlift with coupon & band
Push-ups
Curls
Lateral raises
Squat and press
Performed double coupon farmer’s carry half way around parking lot
Round 4-
Tricep extensions
Upright row with coupon & band
Squat and row
Pull aparts
Reverse woods chops
Performed double coupon farmer’s carry half way around parking lot
6MOM:
25 reps of the following exercises with exercise band:
- Pickle pushers
- 60 sec high plank hold
- Stars (exercise was ineffective and we elected to stop this stupid attempt for core work, 10ish reps)
- Reverse crunch
- Side bends
COT:
We have the ability to take responsibility for things in all manner of our life. One of the skills I am trying to teach my son is to reflect on situations and think of ways which you contributed to the outcome and how in the future you could make a different decision. Even when things are accidents we can still find ways we could have helped prevent the incident. I found it interesting in a nutrition book I have been reading as of late that this ability to choose and take responsibility is imbedded within our DNA. The book gave the example of twins whose DNA was near identical at birth however in their later years was vastly different because of the way they chose to live their life. I urge us all to reflect and take responsibility for those things you can control in your life.
