Power of prayerMy wife received a call on Thursday that her job was going to be eliminated. As you can imagine the gauntlet of emotions we went through was overwhelming. As we discussed options at our table, our 11 yr old sat with us and as we reassured him everything would work out, Kim has contacts she has already reached out to for work, he looked at her and said,”don’t worry, Gods got this!” He said he would pray for a solution. Kim and I also prayed together and individually, hoping for a sign or direction to move towards.
As she was doing dishes, keeping her mind off of what was happening, she suddenly was struck with an idea on how to not only save her position but save the company money in the mean time. We sat and created an outline on how she would present it. As we attended church on Sunday, the Pastor was telling us about how we all need to put our faith, no matter how controlling we want to be of our lives, into Gods hands. He knows what is best for us. We prayed on it at church as well and continued as much as we could prior to Kim’s meeting with the owner.
Great news, he loved the idea, is happy she thought outside of the box and is saving money through a down time for the business.
I believe the power of prayer for finding an answer and providing a light to the path we needed to follow. As Hunter said, don’t worry, God’s got this!Continued prayers to our brothers still healing from injuries that are keeping them from being out in the gloom.
