“failures should be seen as bruises, not tattoos.” Kim(M) and I have been feeling like we still don’t know what we want to be when we grow up…and we are nearing 40 years. Lately, Kim has been getting down on herself for not feeling like she has accomplished much in life. I’ve been trying to support her in the best way I can and helping her realize that the sacrifices she has made for our family has put us where we are today; even though she had a different idea of where her life might be at this time, living in the past and seeing things through the lens of regrets and what-ifs is not healthy or productive. I’m super proud of my wife and so very grateful for the inspiration and support she has given me to pursue two careers, and maybe even a third one down the road. First I was a school teacher, now I’m a nurse, who knows what the next chapter in life will bring. It’s never too late to have a new chapter! @French Lick thanks for your words of encouragement and reminding us that praise and gratitude for the good things is vital. Good luck to you and your youngest during the college search! Congratulations to @Redman for his son’s engagement, it’s nice the family likes the girl too! Congrats to @Dash for hitting 200 beetdowns for the year! Way to go, brother! Grateful for this group and the ability to lead.
