Last week down at Progressive Field they had an equality day . This brought out 300 to 350 special-needs children and adults to take a tour of the ballpark. They not only got to go into the clubhouses, but they were taken out onto the field where they’re able to play catch, get into the batting cage, and actually play a simulated game. Watching everyone walking down through the hallways leading out of the ballpark you could still see the excitement on everyone’s face, the smiles and the reliving and telling stories of what they were able to do that day. It’s a great program that the Guardians have and something that I’m glad I was able to witness
We do have the same thing here in Medina with the Miracle League. My boys were participantsin a few of these games thanks to @Radio as he would always have our Swarm teams get involved. Again another opportunity to see the joy in the faces of everyone who is out there playing the game. I highly recommend if you don’t volunteer to just go out and cheer on a game that’s going on. It’s one of the better things we have here Medina and it really does make a difference.
