You never know how you’ll find a friend…
@Garmin has been in a rather stressful situation the past few months, as the situation with his daughter Kori has progressed.  It has put him and his family at the forefront of my mind lately, which got me thinking about how we became friends.  Obviously, like @Garmin, I’m very quiet and reserved, so it wasn’t easy getting things started.   We were texting about something one night, and both having gone to High School in Georgia, Georgia HS sports came into the conversation.  I mentioned a Georgia HS Mr. Basketball, named Darren Hancock.  Immediately @Garmin texted me back, “Who rocks?  Hancock! Hancock!”  This was a cheer that Griffin students did every time Hancock dunked.  I was shocked, as I thought I was the only one on the planet who remembered this silly cheer/chant, and here I was in Medina, OH talking to another guy with the same memory.  Incredible.  LOL.  That simple exchange galvanized our friendship, and we’ve had each other’s backs ever since.  You just never know what will lead to a friendship.
