COT:
Building on what @FLO talked about last Tuesday. In Matthew 19:24 (ESV) Jesus says “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” I feel like this comes down to feeling comfortable in our lives. In this example wealth makes a person comfortable because it allows them to purchase pretty much anything needed. When things are going well, we can fall into a comfort zone and not feel the need to connect with God or pursue relationship with Him because we look around and everything seems okay. In times of extreme struggle though when a person is pushed out of their comfort zone, they often turn to God to get them through those moments. I think the saying that “there’s no such thing as an atheist in a foxhole” is a perfect example of this taking place. So, let’s push ourselves out of our comfort zones. Waking up for a 5:30 am workout isn’t comfortable, but it helps you grow. Let’s take this same approach to furthering our relationship with God.
