Just had a few comments on the book of Genesis as we just began a 10 week study…..We concentrated on Chapter 1 verses 1-5 this past week:
The Beginning

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. What struck me was Verse 4. Just 4 verses into the Bible, God established the association with LIGHT being GOOD and separating it from DARKNESS…. It has truly been God’ wish, from the beginning that man, that he created from nothing, become HIS light on this planet and to separate ourselves from the Darkness that came just a few Chapters later with the fall of Man. I loved @Padres addition to the conversation that, sometimes, that darkness is something that WE hide inside ourselves from everyone (everyone but God, that is)..
