Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, MS in 1935 to a poor family. He learned to love music at a very young age, and when his parents moved to Memphis when he was a child, it became his dream to be able to buy his mom a pink Cadillac at some point. By his early 20’s this was accomplished, and by 30 he owned Graceland, and was one of the world’s most successful performers. It’s a long way to the top, if you want Rock-N-Roll.
