Warm-up:

  • Motivator – 5 Down
  • Shoulders/Triceps
  • Arm Circles
  • Turn and Bounce
  • Tappy Taps
  • Runner’s Stretch
  • Bear Stretch/Calves

Workout:

PAX line up on the goal line, performed 20 reps of and exercise w/ coupon, karaoke to the 50 yard line, did 15 Merkins, karaoke to the opposite goal line and performed 20 reps of core exercise.  Goal line exercises changed each round, but 15 Merkins were always done at the 50 yard line.  We did 2 rounds of exercises and cut the yardage, and only the yardage, in half:

  • OH Press/LBC’s
  • Skull Crushers/Leg Raises
  • Curls/Big Bois
  • Chest Press/Crunchy Frog

Rinse and Repeat

Most done in BEEtdown, but we did one round of Shoulder Taps.

COT:

My oldest daughter had her JV Soccer banquet this past week.  I was unable to attend, but when she got home, I asked her how it went. She said it went well and the coach said good things about her.  My wife said, “show him what you got”.  She held up a certificate and walked over and threw it in the trash.  My wife asked her why she threw it away and daughter replied, “we don’t keep participation trophies in this house”.  Now, I would never tell my daughters to throw away a trophy or certificate, but it did give me goosebumps. I try to instill in them that just “showing up” is not good enough.  They have to earn everything by working hard at whatever they do and any rewards would mean so much more to them.
