Stretchy stuff + motivator
PAX partnered up. One partner ran the long drive down to the rec center entrance and back up while the partner worked in cadence with the others repeating through a series of:
- 5 burpees
- 10 merkins
- 20 dips
- 30 squats
Switch and repeato for time
- Slow-count LBCs
- Slow-count oblique crunches
- Slow count 6″ hold with single leg figure 8s
We commented on how impressive the numbers are for Copley’s Ultimate Frisbee Saturdays. Awesome work.
Then, I read a (probably-more-popular-than-I-realized) greek proverb:
“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”
I love this thought… do what is right… even (or maybe even especially) when you fully realize it’s not you that will directly benefit. Rather, it is just the right thing to do for the greater good.
