Warm-up:

Neck rolls, look up, down; left, right, Cross body and behind the head arm stretch, Arm circles, Downward dog, runners stretch, pigeon, catchers pose, flamingo.

Workout:

The Thang was a repeat from a couple weeks ago when only 3 Pax were present.  It  seemed a little selfish not to share this workout with a larger group.  A modification of how Coach Bob Guy started and ended every wrestling practice.

  • 20 SSH
  • 20 standard merkins
  • 20 Merkins – hands turned in
  • 20 Merkins – hands turned out
  • 20 Big Boys
  • 20 LBC’s
  • 20 Squat thrusts
  • Run one lap around track

Rinse and repeat.

We did the first set in cadence, after that OYO.

6MOM:

MOM was incorporated in workout.

COT:

Centered around doing what is easy verses what is right. They are rarely the same thing.

After seeing Riley Gaines last week testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, it struck me how easy it would be for this young woman at this point in her life to take the easy path. Her collage career is now behind her, she won’t benefit from a change to the rules. She has still chosen to do what she believes is right, the difficult path.  What a great example that is for all us to try and emulate. The easy path doesn’t lead to a destination worth traveling to.
