A Case of the Mondays

Mon., Sep. 26, 2022 / 06:00 am - 06:45 am / Medina High School

Shugah

Workout:

We met in the parking lot for the motivator and a few other stretches.

Then, we headed across the street to do a crap ton of merkins and dips, a few pull ups on the monkey bars and a couple laps around the tennis courts. At the end of a bench, we did a series of merkins, shimmied down to the other end and flipped to do the same count of dips. We repeated for a total of 10 benches per round. Then, mosied to the jungle gym and did a designated number of pull ups. Finally ran close to a 400m lap around the courts to finish the round.

Round 1: sets of 10 at each bench (100 total), 1 pull up
Round 2: decreasing sets… starting w/ 10 down to 1 (55 total), 2 pull ups
Round 3: sets of 5 at each bench (55 total), 3 pull ups

Ran out of time to do Mary.

COT:

My thought of the day was just a reflection that came Saturday during @Squid’ inaugural Dadurday (which was unbelievably awesome… we need to spread the word about that as it’ll be perfect for a very wide range of dads looking to grow). Anyway, the thought was how awesome our diversity in beatdowns/opps is a group. We have opportunities to explore a number of different ways to grow… be it as dads with Dadurday, different workout styles (dedicated runs in Firestone, Copley and Medina, rucks in Brunswick and Medina, kettlebell workouts in Copley, Spartan-style workouts in Brunswick/Hinkley, etc.), bible groups starting in Copley and Medina, and various opportunities to give back.

The range is awesome. And so is the leadership of those wanting to try something new, sharing it with the group and making it happen. Very inspirational. I look forward to seeing what other things we bring to each other and ourselves within the group. Keep kicking ass, men.
